Let me start by saying that the author has some true talent. The writing and character building are great. As an added plus, I didn't notice any grammatical problems. However, I'm not a stickler for things like that either as long as there aren't too many and they don't hold up the reading at all. Now my problem with the book: I found the story somewhat lacking. The conflict in a nutshell is h is too young, and once that's resolved, she goes to college. It's just not enough of a plot development to keep me interested. I found myself thinking that, at some point, something more exciting was going to have to happen; but as I got closer to the end (say 75% or so) I realized that this was not to be the case. At that point I knew exactly how it was going to end and things started to seem very repetitive -- queue the skimming of several pages at a time. I did enjoy reading about the characters, and I liked them, but there's just not enough story for me to recommend this book to anyone.Tags : Order Up - Kindle edition by Katie Golding. Started out moving slow, but got better. I loved Wesley's character. He was such a good guy always doing the right thing for Reagan. It could have gone so many ways, but glad they figured it out for their HEA.
If there ever was a pairing of a literary couple that was meant to be, this is it. Katie Golding's lovely romance, "Order Up", will have you rooting for Wesley and Reagan to find their happily ever after together from the moment they share a page. Prepare to have your heart stings tugged.
I loved this book, the main characters along with the others. I also have found a new writer to follow.
Cute story with some funny and sad moments, but it didn't feel like it was going anywhere. Too many places with the scenes dragged and repeated information.
Ah, young love...This story accurately depicts all of the extra angst, drama, and swirling hormones that surround young love. The storytelling was unique and particularly enjoyable because it was from the hero's point of view. Oh, and he's just a normal dude who delivers pizza for a living. This book had believable characters that I found myself really rooting for. Big thumbs up for Order Up!
This book was very well written and had the perfect amount of angst mixed in with a beautiful young love story. Let's not forget the little bit of smut thrown in there. Katie did a wonderful job of keeping it all balanced out without making it feel like the book was all fluff or angst or smut. Each of these things played an important role and they all had just the right amount of time spent on each of them. I definitely recommend this book and any others she has written!
Katie Golding is known for her realistic romances. In Order Up, much like her previous books, you'll find real, down to earth characters that could easily be your next door neighbors. Sure, you might say "But I want to escape, not deal with real life", but don't assume realism equals boring or bland. Order Up is sexy as hell, with can't touch it's so hot chemistry. Her secondary characters play off the leads perfectly, shining a spotlight on friendship alongside romance. This book was chosen by readers for publication through the Scout program, and there's a reason. This girl writes romance and she does it well.
