I'm so conflicted about this review because most of the book was a solid 4 stars for me. I'll start by talking about what I liked about this story- it was well written, kept my attention, and I really liked Ivy and Roan. I love a good reformed manwhore story. If you keep reading my review there will be some spoilers that explain why my rating went lower, so stop now if you don't want to see it :)

*spoilers ahead*

Throughout the book there was sexual tension (which was good), there was dirty talk and steamy kisses and descriptive foreplay (also very good), and then they were about to have sex for the first time (highly anticipated moment) and then... Nothing. Like the scene literally just stops and skips over the sex. The next chapter starts and it's two weeks later. I was really confused and I had to go back and forth a few pages to make sure my kindle didn't just skip over a chapter. I was so disappointed! This was a monumental moment for the couple and I felt like so much of the book was leading up to it. I also felt like the first month of their relationship was skipped over. As a reader, I wanted to bask in their newfound romance, and it was rushed. This may not be a problem for some readers, but skipping over highly anticipated scenes are a huge pet peeve for me. It was a let down and I found myself a little less invested in their relationship for the last 25% of the book.

Would I recommend this book to other readers? Yes. The writer is talented and I still enjoyed the story.

King of Campus edition by Jennifer Sucevic Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

I loved this book and yes, I give it a 5 star. When I find a book that I can't put down I have no choice. Not much sexually explicit scenes but a lot of the sexual conversations and the build up from roan was off the charts. Can't see what comes next from this author but I truly ope Lexi and Dylan gets a book
This was a really good story, but I felt it got a little repetitive. You were constantly reminded of the fact that the step mom and dad were drawn together shortly after the real moms death. At times I felt the story descriptions of situations were dragged lengthily into too much. Beyond that though it really was a good story and I wanted to know more about what happened to some of the other characters. What was "Sam's" issue that was just dropped.
I really enjoyed this book you could really feel the pull between the characters. I found some humorous moments and there were also times that the book hit some real problems that might be faced by college students. I have read other books by this author and she didn't disappoint in this one I have that these books have become a guilty pleasure
I always seem to enjoy these sport hero slut books.

This book was great especially when it gets to why Roan is the way he is. He becomes so much more than just the popular manwhore.

Ivy is a strong personality who is dealing with the death of her mother and her fathers subsequent marriage. Unfortunately for Ivy, she cannot get past her feelings of betrayal which in turn made for an entertaining read for me.

There was plenty of sexual tension between Ivy and Roan which made for some great situations.
I just wanted a book and my recommended this one to me and I loved it. From start to finish, I enjoyed this light hearted book more than I expected. In fact, towards the end, I had a tissue in hand while I sniffled through to the end.

This was a love story about two people who were drawn to each other during a time when neither were interested in a relationship or with each other. The characters were well thought out, the story is sweet, and it has a great ending.

If you're looking for a feel good book, you'll love this one.
This book was okay- if you're bored and want a light and fluffy read, go for it. It wasn't anything special. When I read the first few chapters I thought this would be a book I would genuinely enjoy. A little back and forth, a little spitfire female with a cocky male, just some good love, hate, and sex. But the flame died fast and the relationship got stale before they even got to the sex. The back and forth lasted a day and then it was studying and friendship. Snooze. The worst part was that the last 1/4 of the book was spent with unnecessary angst that was wrapped up SO quickly. The drama in the story isn't well developed or all that interesting. I was disappointed because I had high hopes! If you're looking for average this is the book for you!
Roan and Ivy's story was romantic as hell, and don't get me started on the sweet sexiness of a dancer and football superstar hooking up! The two.activities - sports and dance - are very compatible in the sense that both passions make them superbly healthy physical specimens, and pretty inclined toward being physically attractive as well. The clincher for me was the way they each appreciated the other's skills and talents while recognizing and appreciating how academically superior they were. They SAW each other, below the exterior and obvious, which is what distinguishes Ivy from all the other shallow females Roan had been consorting with before Ivy. She didn't care what he did, how great a football player he was,.or that he was idolized by people who didn't really know him. As for Roan, he appreciates Ivy's grace, extraordinary talent, and brain, but mostly loves that she wants him for all of what makes him Roan King, not just the superficial public image of himself.

This was beautifully done - it showcases two young college students who each possess unique, incredibly gifted talent that sets.them above the average bar, and who also are surprisingly mature beyond their years. At twenty-two and twenty-one, Roan and Ivy, being so mature already, could do nothing else but fall for each other and face the excruciating pain of separation, loss, and challenge head on. Read this book to see how it all turns out! The journey is beautiful, funny in p!aces, and angsty as only Ms. Sucevic can make it. Five stars!
